Time for my favorite team, the New York Mets, for an all-time team. Coming up on 50 years for the franchise, and although they're in great turmoil now, there have been some great players. Here we go...

I was thinking Edgardo Alfonzo at 2B over Wally 'Youre a little effin pipsqueak' Backman. Edgardo won a SS award and was on a couple of MVP ballots... He ranks pretty high up on the Mets franchise leaderboard in a few categories. If we were talking all-time tirades, Backman might have top honors.

ReplyDeleteTheir numbers are similar. I don't think Milan was better though. If you want Milan on your all-time Met team, i couldn't argue.
