In our ever-attempting quest to come up with off beat and odd all time teams, we developed one dedicated to the Chuck's! I've often thought about how many players there were named Carlos and that you could probably field a team of them. After the tirade last night by Big Z, Carlos Zambrano, I decided to really see if the team could be done. Amazingly, there's probably only one player on the list that the casual fan may not remember. Many of them are currently playing as well. So, here is the all Chachi team.

C - Carlos Ruiz
1B - Carlos Delgado
2B - Carlos Febles (Royals late 90s)
3B - Carlos Baerga (mostly 2B, but did log 199 games at 3B)
SS - Carlos Guillen
DH - Carlos Pena
OF - Carlos Beltran
OF - Carlos Lee
OF - Carlos Gonzalez
OF - Carlos Quentin
SP - Carlos Zambrano
SP - Carlos Silva
SP - Carlos Carrasco
SP - Carlos Enrique "Ricky" Nolasco (yep, he's a Carlos)
CL - Carlos Marmol

It's a pretty formidable team actually.

For fun, we thought we'd try to field a team of fictional characters from television, comics, and movies. Unlike other all time teams, we added some extra non-player roles to the team. The team personnel is included after the jump break.

Time for another list as we love creating them at FBJ. Before I get hammered, this is not inclusive and arguments can be made to add some people over others. We didn't have an exact science when creating this list, but we chose some nicknames that are iconic to the franchise and others because we thought they were funny. Please offer your favorites or ones that we may have overlooked in the comments section!

Atlanta Braves
Hammerin' Hank - Hank Aaron
The Crime Dog - Fred McGriff
Mad Dog - Greg Maddux

Philadelphia Phillies (lots to choose from)
Whitey - Richie Ashburn
Chooch - Carlos Ruiz
The Flyin' Hawaiian - Shane Victorino
This is an alternative all time team. My dad thought of this a few years ago and I thought it would be interesting to share with everyone. I've been doing all time teams with my dad ever since I was little. This one entails picking someone at every position, plus DH and 2 pitchers, whereby the player was with the same team his whole career. It would be fairly easy to do prior to the advent of the free agent era. As a challenge, my dad qualified it by saying they had to be playing after 1980. So their career could have started prior to 1980, but they had to be playing afterward. Here's the list...

C-Johnny Bench
1B-Albert Pujols
2B-Craig Biggio
SS-Cal Ripken
3B-Mike Schmidt
OF-Tony Gwynn
OF-Kirby Puckett
OF-Robin Yount
DH-Edgar Martinez
SP-Jim Palmer
SP-Mark Buehrle
CL-Mariano Rivera

SS was a pretty rich position with Derek Jeter and Barry Larkin viable alternatives. Starting pitching is the hardest. Give me some more alternatives, who would you replace on this list?
