Stump The Hersh
Here's one I found for our resident trivia expert that I found interesting. It's open to all of you reading this as well as him. Leave your guesses in the comments section. No cheating...
Q: Of the players who have been selected to 13 or more All Star games, name the only two players to have played at least once for both AL and NL?
Note: There have been 23 players selected to at least 13 All Star games. There's also a bit of a twist/trick to it. Not a trick question, but one element is different now.

I'm pretty sure one is Hank Aaron. Getting selected when he went to the Brewers who were in the AL at the time. The other one is not so easy. I'm torn between Frank Robinson or Dave Winfield. I'll take a guess with Winfield.
ReplyDeleteWinfield wasn't selected at least 13 times. Nor was Robinson. More recent. Aaron is right though and you got the twist (Brewers in AL at the time).
ReplyDeleteThen I'll go Randy Johnson
ReplyDeleteRandy was selected to 10, five in each league. We'll open it up to the readership. Any guesses out there?
ReplyDeleteGotta be Junior...
ReplyDeleteNice job, my man. Junior is correct! 10 with Seattle and 3 with Cincy. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have gotten Aaron... I actually thought about Winfield prior to Ken's guess and then when you said more recent I remembered Junior. Wonder how many of the 23 I'd get... Sporcle.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Junior made more than 1 with the Reds, so I didn't guess him. My bad. At least I got the hard one.
